Wide range of services and collective buying power attracts growing numbers of operators.
Bedford, MA Leaders of the Independent Fixed Base Operators Association (IFBOA) today announced membership in the organization has now surpassed more than 500 companies, including Fixed Base Operators, flight schools, repair stations, aircraft management and sales organizations, and other airport-related businesses.
It's a major accomplishment for the young association, which is dedicated to providing independent airport businesses with the same resources and buying power of major chains. Thanks to IFBOA's collaborative efforts, independent aviation businesses - from FBOs to flight schools can now offer the highest levels of training, insurance protection and marketing services as those enjoyed by larger organizations.
One of IFBOA's most popular benefits is its Workers Compensation insurance program, which provides competitive pricing and profit sharing to its members. In addition, IFBOA offers continuing education, legal assistance, and on-demand expert counsel on best practices, problem solving and other issues unique to aviation businesses.
"Reaching 500 members is a terrific milestone for us" said John Wraga, founder and executive director of IFBOA, "and a tremendous validation of the need for independent aviation businesses to have the same powerful resources, representation and buying power as larger companies in the field. It's simply great to fill such a need for so many, and I'm looking forward to even stronger growth in the years to come - as we continue gathering momentum among independent aviation businesses, and dedicate ourselves to delivering increasingly higher levels of service."
