Clay Lacy Aviation traces its roots to 1964, when world-renowned pilot Clay Lacy landed the first Learjet in Los Angeles near Hollywood's burgeoning entertainment industry. Four years later, he founded Clay Lacy Aviation as the first jet charter company on the West Coast, now distinguished as the most experienced operator of private jets in the world.
An airline captain, experimental test pilot, air race champion, aviation record-setter, aerial cinematographer, philanthropist and entrepreneur, Lacy has accumulated more hours flying jets than anyone on Earth. Setting 26 world speed records, he is a member of the National Aviation Hall of Fame and the recipient of countless industry awards.
Today, with a half-century of business aviation expertise, Clay Lacy Aviation is globally recognized as a leading aircraft management, charter, maintenance and FBO services company. Home to an award-winning Class IV repair station, its factory-trained technicians perform complete maintenance, avionics and interior completion services. Clay Lacy Aviation's fleet of 75 business jets is one of the largest and most diverse in the world. As the company of choice for iconic figures in business, sports, entertainment and government, it's also distinguished as the only jet operator in history to have flown six U.S. presidents.
"Our highly trained and skilled professionals bring together the best practices of business, commercial and military aviation," said Clay Lacy Aviation President Brian Kirkdoffer. "As a company and as individuals, we're honored to provide a level of service, value and safety synonymous with the Clay Lacy name."
Clay Lacy Aviation operates full-service private jet facilities at Van Nuys Airport (KVNY) in Los Angeles and Boeing Field (BFI) in Seattle.
